Rennes
A city of art and history, 2018 winner of the city to live well, with many faculties, Rennes is ideal for a rental investment. Its stable prices, which escape the general increase in large urban complexes, low compared to Paris or even Lyon, represent a strong point, and its rich cultural life. It is also a very young city with 36% under the age of 25, ideally located close to the heart of Europe.
Montpellier
The capital of Hérault is an increasingly popular destination. Montpellier is at the top of the list of university cities (18% share of students). Its prices remain below €4,000/m²and in the Beaux-Arts district they rise to a maximum of €4,700. If you choose Montpellier instead of Marseille, you will save on average more than €200 per square meter on the same area.
Poitiers
In the heart of the Vienne department, Poitiers is a growing university town with a strong upward trend in student numbers. It offers excellent value for money, being better located geographically than Limoges and better equipped in terms of transport, especially via the LGV. The railway line allows relatively quick access to Bordeaux and Paris. According to l’Étudiant magazine, Poitiers has a percentage of students of almost 18% in its population and a Licentiate 2 pass rate of around 64%, one of the highest scores in its 2022-2023 ranking. So many criteria to encourage you to invest in a rental without much fear.
