A famous American actress opens up about the taboo around aging women in the industry.
Known for her role as Carrie Bradshaw in the series “Sex and the City”, she still inspires today with her captivating beauty. Sarah Jessica Parker is also always at the forefront of trends. Especially when last month she succumbed to the hair trend of the moment: the ribbon.
This time, the American actress talks about the beauty industry and especially about a topic concerning Hollywood actresses: aging. The one who has worn her white hair on the red carpet many times is a big fan of natural hair. And for good reason. During an interview with British media “WhoWhatWear”, she made a number of revelations about her vision of aging and the anti-aging trend.

For the face of the RoC brand, anti-aging has become a “profitable” field. “I’m sure if consumers get sick of it like I do, they’ll start calling it ‘anti-life,'” she says. Because, according to the actress, aging is something natural that women try to prevent as much as possible. She goes on to remind the extent to which it is women who are the most victims of her aging orders: “It’s always about women. We think that a man who ages is valuable and sexy, and we admire it as a kind of masculinity. I think we’re a little off,” he reveals.
Like Gwyneth Paltrow, who revealed that she no longer wants to use botox and let life run its course, she adds that she sees aging more as something positive: “Because a year is life – it means being alive and having more opportunities to exist, learn, teach and share; to love, to serve and to be generous, to be a good friend, a good mother, a good wife, a good girlfriend, a good partner.”
The 58-year-old actress adds in particular that she no longer wants to wear as much make-up as she did in her younger years. The main reason ? The journey of self-acceptance, which he has been pursuing for several years. “I think the feeling of being myself is something I’ve known for a while. Even today, I wear a lot less make-up than I used to in my day-to-day life,” Ms Parker reveals, adding that she is now aiming for a Pamela Anderson-like no-make-up look.
Despite everything, this observation does not stop the actress and mother of three from being hopeful: “I feel like we will reach a threshold and start thinking about it more, how we feel better in life. Do you know how we live and how we age?
