Natural cosmetics brand Lush has revealed in a press release the reasons why it created its famous “Gorgeous” moisturizer.
Sometimes there are encounters that create sparks. Or rather successful cosmetic products. In 1986, Lady Diana was invited to visit the laboratories of Mark Constantine, co-founder of Lush. Together they discuss cosmetics and beauty routines. The Princess of Wales talks to her about her favorite products, especially the ones that never leave her bag. His big favorite? Hydrating cream with citrus tones specially created for her.

During their discussion, Diana also opens up about her skin issues. For professionals, the young woman would be allergic to mineral oil contained in some cosmetics such as foundation. After their meeting, the Lush co-founder still thinks about his exchange with the princess. His idea? Reinventing Lady Diana’s favorite moisturizer by improving its formula with better ingredients. With the help of Helen Ambrosen (co-founder of Lush), the expert spends night and day on this royal project. A few years later, the duo finally managed to find the right formula. This is the birth of “Gorgeous” face cream, one of the best selling brands.
